It is in 2001, that Aliénor and Alexandre de Malet Roquefort fall under the spell of this property located in Mouliets-et-Villemartin, close to Saint-Emilion.

Beyond the terroir richness, what has won the couple heart is the atypical nature of the place. In fact, at the core of the vineyard, overhanging the vines, an old chapel sticks up seeming protect its terroir like a mother looking after her children.

The encounter between Aliénor and Alexandre, and the Château Chapelle Maracan could be considered as a love at first sight. Besides it gives birth, in 2001, to a great “cuvee” and, such as a romantic symbol, this novelty was called : « La Chapelle d’Aliénor ».
